The New Orleans Pelicans are under .500 this season after coming in with high expectations and now the club is looking to shop Eric Gordon in a trade after dealing with injuries to Jrue Holiday and Ryan Anderson and one option could be center Chris Kaman from the Lakers, as he has been upset about his role in Los Angeles and the Pelicans desperately need a legitimate center.

The Pelicans and Rockets were rumored to have a connection with Ryan Anderson for Omer Asik, but that deal appears to be in the past and now the Pelicans are looking to move Gordon after keeping him from signing with the Suns a couple years ago. According to the Sporting News, the Pelicans are motivated and shopping Gordon to other teams and while it has not drummed up that much interest, the team has said it will look at three-team trades that could make it work as well. Three-team deals make it very interesting, as clubs like the Sixers and the Suns could get involved and the Pelicans would love to get a center if they can, as they have been using a random lineup this season at the position.

The news that the Pelicans are looking to trade Gordon comes a couple years after the Suns tried to sign him as a free agent and now they could be a team that gets involved, as they just got an injury to Eric Bledsoe and they have draft picks left over that they can use in deals, as they are one of the most surprising teams in the NBA this season. Phoenix could add Gordon to help compliment the Bledsoe loss and while Jrue Holiday and Anderson are injured right now, the Pelicans feel that making a trade is the best move.

Holiday is going to be out for the immediate future with a foot injury and he now has a stress fracture in his foot and it comes at a tough time for the Pelicans, as he has played in every game this season and has been solid, averaging over 30 minutes with 14.3 points, 7.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds a game and now the team will have to rely more on Tyreke Evans. The Lakers are an interesting option with Kaman, as he has expressed his issues with the team's use of him and now he could be on the move as well.
