The Seattle Seahawks still have plenty to play for on Sunday in Week 17 of the season at home against the St. Louis Rams at CenturyLink Field as they can still lose the number one seed and the division with a defeat and that makes this game crucial and they will be looking to improve to 13-3 on the season and comes after Russell Wilson lost his first home game in two seasons.

The team comes in after a loss to the Arizona Cardinals and the game on Sunday marks an important one for the Seahawks, as they can lock in home field advantage in the playoffs and they come in with a number one ranked defense against the pass behind Richard Sherman, allowing less than 180 yards per game. The team is ranked fourth in the NFL in rushing with Marshawn Lynch leading the way and he has had another big season and the team comes in ranked 26th in passing yards per game and Wilson has over 3,000 passing yards this season and he has been very impressive, while Lynch has nearly 1,200 yards again and this gives the team a chance to finish the season on a high note after leading the NFL for most of the year and they have been ranked first in the NFC for nearly the entire season and they will get the chance for a number one seed and home field advantage.

The Seahawks had a great stretch to the season after opening 5-0 and losing to the Colts, as they won seven games in a row before falling at the last second to the Niners on the road and after that game the team shutout the Giants and that was a terrible game for NY and could have been a warmup for the Seattle Seahawks as the Super Bowl will be at MetLife Stadium in February and the Seahawks need to win to stay at the top spot and they could actually end up in the number five seed in the playoffs if certain things shake out. The AFC is a crazy mess and the NFC still has spots open, as the Packers and Chicago Bears are playing for the NFC North division and at night the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles play for the NFC East division on Sunday night.
