The fantasy football season is basically over and with championships and consolation matchups going on, fantasy owners need to know who to start and sit, as pride and titles are on the line and some names to follow this week includes Wes Welker, Victor Cruz, Aaron Rodgers, Adrian Peterson, Ben Tate, Jay Cutler and Matt Flynn.

Wes Welker is a big name to watch, as he missed out on the Thursday game last week and that could mean another start for Andre Caldwell after he had a solid game with Peyton Manning scoring two touchdowns. Rodgers is looking like he will be an option to start in Week 17, but he hasn't been cleared yet in Week 16 by the medical staff, so the best bet for him is to take a wait and see approach and if he doesn't start, Matt Flynn could actually be a nice option against the Steelers and their secondary.

Victor Cruz is a SIT option until any news comes out about his knee and concussion injuries suffered last week and there is a chance that the Giants could shut him down completely for the final two games of the season against the Lions and the Redskins. Cruz has been solid all season, but with just two games left and nothing to play for, the Giants wouldn't crazy to sit him down for the final go around and with Cruz being the signed receiver they have and Hakeem Nicks likely gone, they better protect that man. Adrian Peterson is coming off of a foot injury and looks like he will START, while Ben Tate is done for the season with a rib injury that finally landed him on IR, while Jay Cutler is back under center and will START for the Bears again.

Welker comes into the week after having a very solid season for the Broncos, but after missing last week's game against the Chargers, chances are he will be out again after missing practice on Wednesday. The Broncos still have to lock up the division and the number one seed over the Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots, but they also want to ensure that Welker is healthy for the playoffs. Last game he had five catches for 61 yards on 10 targets and a touchdown and now it looks like Caldwell will be the slot receiver once again on Sunday.

Cruz is likely out for the Giants game on Sunday against Lions and that will mean he is likely out for the following game too. Cruz is the best receiver for the Giants and their most valuable asset apart from Eli Manning and that means the team will not risk putting him on the field again. Cruz made just two catches on seven targets before leaving the Seahawks game and he hasn't scored a TD in five games, which is more on Manning than him.

Rodgers has still not been cleared by the medical staff to play and while he has returned to practice and workouts, the Packers will not risk his health in these two games. Matt Flynn pulled out a win for the Packers against the terrible Cowboys and he could do it against the Steelers as well. Adrian Peterson will start after missing last week against the Eagles.
