The Minnesota Timberwolves have Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio healthy at the same time finally and while the team is one game under .500, they feel they are close to being a playoff contender and after dealing Derrick Williams could the team trade for someone like Evan Turner or Greg Monroe?

The Sixers have been looking to make deals this offseason and they have been involved in the Omer Asik trade talks and that could be one move they make, while Turner could get traded in another deal along with Thaddeus Young. The 76ers have been mentioned as a potential trade partner for many teams since the beginning of the season and the Timberwolves could be an option. According to Pro Basketball Talk, the Sixers have been engaged in talks with the Rockets and also are in the mix for the Dion Waiters deal from the Cleveland Cavaliers and Turner or Young could be players that move in either of those trades.

The report says that the Timberwolves could also be in the mix for Greg Monroe to add some size next to Kevin Love and after he did not get a contract extension, he has been looked at as a player that could move at the deadline. Monroe will be a free agent and with the Pistons signing Josh Smith and trading for Brandon Jennings and keeping Andre Drummond, Monroe would be the odd man out. Turner has been playing his best ball this season and is averaging over 20 points per game and with Kevin Martin struggling for the team, adding someone like Turner could help open things up on offense and a change of scenery could be good for the former number two overall pick.

The Sixers and the Chicago Bulls are on the mix for Waiters as well and the Cavaliers could pull off that move this month ahead of the trading deadline. Waiters had had some issues with Kyrie Irving and that is the main reason he is on the block, while the Sixers are just rebuilding and that is why Turner and Young could be options to go. The Timberwolves traded away Derrick Williams after a couple years of trade rumors and he was also a former number two overall pick.

Williams seemingly was mentioned in trade rumors since he was drafted and now he is a member of the Sacramento Kings along with Rudy Gay, who was traded there from the Toronto Raptors. The Timberwolves got Luc Richard Mbah a Moute in the deal to get some size down low, but with his offensive skills lacking, the team may want to add someone like Monroe or Turner. The Timberwolves feel they can make the playoffs in the west, but with conference being very deep this season, making a move at one game under .500 could be exactly the jolt they need to get back into things. The team is 12-13 this season and are ranked fourth in scoring, but the team is allowing over 100 points per game and are ranked in the top 10 in assists and rebounds per game.
