The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets have not been off to the starts they wanted this season in the NBA and amazingly, both are still within a few games of the division lead in the Atlantic and the main reason for that is the fact that terrible teams like the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia Sixers are all in the division as well and that is why it is shaping up to be the worst of all time.

According to Deadspin.com, after three of the teams lost this weekend on Sunday in the Knicks, Sixers and Raptors, the overall division winning percentage is now .314 through 86 games on the schedule. The website puts together a list and picture from various sports in the NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB and compares it to the Atlantic and while there is still a long way to go, they are on track to be the worst of all time.

Right now the team is beating out the NFC West in 2008 when all the teams finishes with an under .500 record apart from the 9-7 Cardinals. The Knicks and the Nets are the biggest reason for all of this, as the Raptors, Celtics and Sixers were all expected to be bad, while New York and Brooklyn were expecting to be much better.

Things could get even worse this week, as the Nets and Knicks play on Thursday.
