The Monday Night Football game on ESPN for Week 13 is one of the best games on the schedule in the NFL and it has the NFC leading Seattle Seahawks taking on the New Orleans Saints at CenturyLink Field and the matchup starts up at 8:30 pm and matches up the two best teams in the conference and the outcome could have big playoff implications.

The Seahawks are coming into the game after a win against the Vikings two weeks ago and after the bye week they are well rested for the Saints and this game could be huge for playoff positioning, as both of these teams play great at home and whoever has the head to head matchup could dictate whether they get the game at home or not. The Seahawks come into the game ranked third in rushing yards per game with nearly 150 and while the team hasn't been as productive in the passing game, having Percy Harvin back should change that, especially with Sidney Rice out for the rest of the season. The Saints come in after a win last week on Thursday night football against the Atlanta Falcons so they too are well rested and they have a huge matchup next week against the Carolina Panthers are that team is still alive for the division depending on how things shake out.

The Saints have one of the best offensive units in the league and the Seahawks come in with one of the top ranked secondaries and that makes the matchup on Monday night football a very good one. The Saints are ranked second in the league in passing yards per game with well over 300 yards per game and they are also ranked 23rd in the league in rushing yards. The defense has been much better while ranking third in passing yards per game allowed, but the Seahawks come in as one of the best rushing teams and with the Saints giving up over 100 per game, Marshawn Lynch could have another great game. Lynch has been one of the best running backs in the NFL this season and for the Seahawks to make a deep run, he needs to continue playing well and against the Saints it could be a repeat of the playoffs a few years ago.

The Seahawks dominated the game against the Vikings in their last game and they come into the matchup on a six game winning streak and to end the season they have a tough schedule, as the second best team in the NFC is coming up on Monday night football. The next two games will be on the road against the San Francisco 49ers and then the New York Giants and that second matchup against the Niners will be in California after the Seahawks won their game back in Washington in Week 2. The game against the Giants could be tough flying all the way to the east coast and the final two games are divisional matchups that could be tough as well with the Arizona Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams at home and those could also factor into the division race and the conference playoffs.
