The Utah Jazz have been off to a terrible start this season, going just 1-11 on the year, but they are getting a bit of help in the form of rookie Trey Burke, who is expected to play off the bench against the New Orleans Pelicans after coming back from surgery.

According to ESPN.com, Burke is going to make his debut for the team on Wednesday in the game against the Pelicans and this will be his first action since the summer league. The rookie from Michigan was not so great over the summer and now he will get the chance to improve on that as he tries to help the team get their second win of the season. Burke has all the talent to be a star in this league, but it depends on how quickly he can get acclimated to the NBA after being out for so long.

Burke was originally injured over a month ago when he had an injury sustained to his shooting hand and after getting surgery, he is finally ready to return. The Jazz have high expectations for Burke after trading for his rights from the Timberwolves and reports say that he was working with the team on a regular basis to stay up to speed for his return. Burke is one of the most talented rookies in his class and he comes in after averaging 8.6 points, 6.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals at Michigan and John Lucas has been starting in his place.
