The Los Angeles Lakers are back in action after their Sunday game. They face a New Orleans Pelicans team, which they lost to less than a week ago. Check out the live stream of the Lakers vs. Pelicans available online at 10:30 p.m. ET

The Lakers have not been the most exciting team to watch in basketball this season. They are 3-5, currently sitting in fourth place in the Pacific division of the Western Conference. They are second only to the Sacramento Kings for the worst record in the division. Of course, they are fairing better than teams like the Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies, but the Lakers appear to have no chance in winning anything this season unless somebody can step up and put up miraculous numbers nightly.

The Pelicans are not much better than the Lakers, posting a 3-4 record and occupying the fourth spot in the Southwest division. However, they can at least bank on having beaten the Lakers just five days ago at home.

With a monster night from their main man, Anthony Davis, the Pelicans cruised to a 96-85 victory over the Lakers. Davis had a double-double and needed only four blocks to complete a triple-double after finishing with 32 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks in the game. Jrue Holiday finished the day with 13 assists and 13 points, while picking up four steals as the Pelicans forced turnovers, but finished the game with only nine turnovers of their own, which would have made Mike Woodson proud, but he is in New York.

Steve Blake, Jodie Meeks, Nick Young, Paul Gasol and Jordan Hill will get the call today. That means the Lakers will place around 60 points on the floor as four of the five lead the team in scoring. Hill will get the start since he is second in rebonds, averaging seven boards per game off the bench. This will be his first start of the season as the Lakers look to add youth, speed and toughness on the glass as they face Anthony Davis and the Pelicans.
