New York City Marathon 2013 Results: Geoffrey Mutai Wins NYC Race Schedule, Route and TV Stream Info For Sunday Event

The New York City Marathon is set for Sunday, November 3, 2013 and the 26.2 mile race will go down in all five boroughs of the city with Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and Staten Island, where things will get started on the Verrazano Bridge and the route will go all around the city and the even will be broadcast live on ESPN2 starting up on Sunday at 9 am and Geoffrey Mutai from Kenya won the race on Sun.

Events have been going on in tandem with the marathon all week, including the Health and Fitness Expo as well as special activities and the race will start up at around 8:30 for wheelchair racers and for the rest of the field, there will be over 40,000 people running and it will be also on ABC7 Streaming Online and on ESPN online as well. The ING New York City Marathon will be live on ESPN2 and ESPN streaming on WatchESPN and there also will be local coverage of the race from early in the morning on ABC and other channels.

The race will get started up past 9 am and coverage begins before that on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes and the full race route will start in Staten Island before going into Brooklyn and after going into Queens the race will enter Manhattan and then go through the Bronx and then will finish up in Central Park. The marathon is the first in the city since the tragic Boston Bombing at the Boston Marathon and security is expected to be very high for the event. The ESPN coverage will put it nationally televised for the first time in two decades and John Anderson and Hannah Storm will handle the coverage for the event and last year the event was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy and and now there will be a huge anticipation to the event on Sunday.

This will be the first of multiple events in the city this coming few months, as the Marathon will come and then the Super Bowl will also be hosted by the city. The race will be presented in high definition from ESPN and this will be the first time in over 20 years and it is the 43rd running of the event and there will also be coverage on ESPN3 and the race is expected to have some high drama and excitement and ESPN will feature angles from over 40 cameras for the event and there will also be tracking for people to follow the race. ESPN Radio will also be featuring updates for the race.

Pre-race coverage will be online on ESPN3 and the WatchABC website and then the coverage will start up on ESPN2 starting at 9 am and will go until 12:30 pm and extra coverage will be on the same streaming websites. Many people participating in the race missed out last year due to Hurricane Sandy and now they will get their chance and it comes over 30 years after the first time the race went through all five boroughs and people will be trying to beat out Kenyan Geoffrey Mutai's course record from a few years ago.
