It is the third Saturday in October which means one thing, Alabama vs. Tennessee. The long-time rivalry always highlights the end of the month. The Volunteers are a team on the rise after a convincing win against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Alabama is No. 1, looking to keep their record perfect for another week.
The game could come down to the rushing attack. Tennessee has given up an average of 181.7 rushing yards per game and Alabama has two of the best backs with a lethal rushing tandem. They will rely heavily on TJ Yeldon and Kenyan Drake to keep momentum.
The Tide are putting up 271.5 yards per game in their last four games. The two backs put up 352 yards against Arkansas. The rushing attack has been a big presence during Alabama's six-game win streak over Tennessee. Alabama has averaged 174.5 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns during that time on the ground.
Tennessee is looking to pull off their second-straight upset over a ranked team. The win over South Carolina was Tennessee's first win over a ranked opponent in 20 games. Quarterback Justin Worley will look to end his road woes as he has struggled away from Tennessee. In the last two road games, the quarterback has completed just 23 of 48 passes for 275 yards and two scores.
Alabama will be without starting safety Vinnie Sunseri who went down with a season-ending knee injury against Arkansas. Landon Collins and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix will fill in for the veteran. Losing Sunseri is a big hit, but the Tide should have the depth to fix it.
Nick Saban is not over-looking Tennessee as the Volunteers have a new found confidence. The rivalry always offers up a good game each year.
