The fantasy football week is nearing to a close with the New York Giants playing against the Minnesota Vikings and with matchups getting intense, some players that stood out over others included names like Calvin Johnson, Matt Forte, Robert Griffin III, Aaron Rodgers, Vincent Jackson, Frank Gore and Matthew Stafford.

Johnson had one of the best days of anyone on Sunday, catching nine balls for 155 yards and two touchdowns in the game despite dealing with a knee injury and he looked quite healthy in the loss, including on a fantastic circus catch in the endzone. The star has been targeted 23 times over the past two weeks and he has scored at least one touchdown in four of the last five games, including multiple scores twice. Johnson is a prime starting option and Matthew Stafford has been having another great season as well in fantasy. Johnson is starting to heat up again, catching 24 passes for 337 yards this season with four touchdowns.

Vincent Jackson has continued to be a productive playmaker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and over the past three weeks he has been targeted in the double digits with Mike Glennon coming in. Glennon had a strong arm in college and he showed it off on Sunday despite losing to the Falcons in a divisional game that Atlanta really needed, as Jackson had 10 catches for over 130 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, including a 59-yarder. Jackson was targeted 22 times on Sunday and now he has been in double digits in four out of the past five games and over the past two weeks he has been over 100 yards and had two touchdowns in each of the past two games.

In a recurring theme of players doing well in losses for their teams, Matt Forte had another very good day for the Bears, rushing for 91 yards and adding three touchdowns against the Redskins, including a 50-yard run. Forte was all over the field and he had two catches as well and now he is ranked in the top 10 in the league in yards and touchdowns.

Robert Griffin looked a bit more like his old self and had over 80 yards rushing and he also added nearly 300 yards passing in the wild victory, including two touchdowns. Roy Helu had the big day for the Redskins, who were able to get past the Bears in a shootout in Maryland. Aaron Rodgers had another solid game with three touchdowns and 260 yards passing and some other players that had nice performances included Andy Dalton and Frank Gore.
