The Seahawks come into the game after a close and mistake filled win over the Tennessee Titans last week and now the team is 5-1 on the season and leading their division over the 49ers by a game, making Thursdays matchup an important one. The team is in the middle of a rough stretch with four games away from Seattle in five weeks and so far they have split those games, winning in overtime in a thriller against the Houston Texans before losing at Indianapolis two weeks ago to the Colts in a 2012 draftee matchup between quarterbacks Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson.

The win over Tennessee was the line home game in that stretch and now they are moving into another streak of three away games in four weeks over the next month. The team won against the Titans and then will play the Cardinals and Rams on the road and that leads into a home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the team travels to Atlanta to play in a rematch from the NFC postseason last year and then after playing the Vikings at home, the team heads into a bye in Week 12 and that break could allow Percy Harvin to return to the team.

The team currently is following the same schedule this coming week that the New York Giants had this past week, as they are playing on Thursday night football a week before playing on Monday night football, meaning they will have a long layoff into next week and one reason for that is likely due to the road scheduling for the Seahawks. The Giants lost to the Chicago Bears last week before they will play against the Minnesota Vikings on MNF and the game for the Seahawks will come after the Cardinals, as they travel to St. Louis to play the Rams in the ESPN broadcast.

Seattle comes out of their bye in what could be one of the best and most anticipated games of the year, as they will host the New Orleans Saints on Monday night football, their second game on ESPN this season after the Rams next week. The Saints were 5-0 and lost to the Patriots, so an undefeated record won't be on the line for the team in that game, but home field advantage in the postseason in the conference could be, as both teams are shaping up to be two of the best in the conference this season.

The schedule doesn't get any easier to finish for the Seahawks, as they play against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14 and that game could help decide the division. The Seahawks then have to make an east coast trip to play against the New York Giants and that is always tough to travel and then they finish with two more divisional games, making it three over the final five weeks. The team hosts the Arizona Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams and those final two games could help push the Seahawks over the top in the division and the conference with the playoffs approaching.
