NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell (L) talks with Michael Ovitz, CEO of venture capital fund Broad Beach Ventures, they arrive for lunch at the annual Allen and Co. conference at the Sun Valley, Idaho Resort July 10."

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is the most powerful man in football and he will be on television on Tuesday night on Fox Sports 1 for an interview with John Lynch for the series Fox Sports 1 on 1, which has interviews with prominent athletes and sports figures.

According to Awful Announcing, Goodell will appear at 8 pm on FS1 and the snag of Goodell is a nice grab for the network, as they are still trying to catch up to ESPN after being on the air over a month and the interview could be an interesting talk between Lynch and the commish. Goodell isn't one to get in front of cameras and while he doesn't do many interviews anyway, this one could end up good with Lynch.

Clearly it won't have many hard hitting questions since Fox broadcasts the NFL and we all see what happens when that happens (bye bye ESPN-Frontline partnership), but either way, the interview should be a good watch. According to AA, who have seen it, Goodell talks about the concussion settlement in terms that it is good for the players, but what else would he say?

Some other athletes have been on the show, including Tom Brady and this interview comes after the controversial settlement. Goodell took to the media and said that he feels that the settlement was a good deal and he also said back when it was announced that it was good for retired players. We'll see what happens with Lynch and Goodell at 8 pm on Tuesday.

Quote from AA: "I think it's good for our players because what's happening now is they are able to get help if they need it. And all players beyond the 4,000 (in the lawsuit), all retired players, will be able to have a baseline test."
