The NFL season got off to quite the start with the Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys pulling out some nice victories and even though some teams are riding high after improving to 1-0, a number of players suffered injuries that could affect the rest of the year, including Maurkice Pouncey, Dez Bryant, Prince Amukamara and Reggie Bush.

The Steelers center suffered the most serious injury and he will likely be out for the season after tearing his ACL and MCL. According to ESPN.com, Pouncey injured his right knee in the opening game against the Titans and it wasn't the only significant injury for the team, as Larry Foote was also injured, dealing with a biceps issue in the game and now the team is 0-1 to start the season after missing the playoffs last year.

The Steelers can ill afford to a lose a player like Pouncey, as they are putting an emphasis on the running game and he is one of their best lineman, making three Pro Bowls and now he will be out for the season for the team. Foote also is a big hit, but his injury does not appear as serious, although he will need surgery as well. Pouncey is considered a team leader and now the offensive line will be influx in the middle with him down for the year after being a first round draft pick a few years ago and helping the Steelers turn around their offensive line.

The team also now has issues in the running game, as LaRod Stephens-Howling went down in the same game with a knee injury that will keep him out for the season. The Steelers appear to be the first team hit this season with a slew of big injuries and now after losing 16-9, the Steelers will have to rally back this season. According to ESPN.com, the team may look to sign the recently cut Jonathan Dwyer to help solidify the running game, but he worked out for the Giants and could sign there as well after the David Wilson fumbling fiasco.

The team has Le'Veon Bell in the waiting, but he is coming back from a foot injury and while the team had Felix Jones and Isaac Redman, the running game did not do much against the Titans. Last season Dwyer led the team in rushing last season but was cut before Week 1 and now the team may need some more depth at the position after Stephens-Howling was first on the team in rushing against the Titans, while Redman did not look impressive while gaining just nine yards.

Reggie Bush was very good for the Lions on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, but he did not escape totally clean, as he injured his left thumb and his groin at points during the game. According to ESPN.com, Bush said the injuries were nothing to worry about and clearly his production was fine, as he rushed for 90 yards and had four catches for 101 yards and a touchdown in the victory over Minnesota.

The Giants and Cowboys dealt with injuries on Sunday night, as Dez Bryant had a bit of an issue after an awkward tackle, while Prince Amukamara suffered a concussion after colliding with Ryan Mundy. The team also dealt with David Wilson's fumbling, which could get them to try and sign Jonathan Dwyer.
