One of the toughest things to do each season as an NFL writer is to select a Super Bowl champion as a prediction as well as what teams make the playoffs and after previously picking the San Diego Chargers in the past, The MMQB creator Peter King went with safer options in 2013: The New England Patriots defeating the Seattle Seahawks.

The MMQB website offers predictions from the entire staff, including King, Greg Bedard and Jenny Vrentas among others and a number of people selected the Seahawks out of the NFC. The team has a solid defense and an explosive offense and with Russell Wilson getting a full offseason as quarterback, the team could be even more successful.

King made his playoff selections in both conferences, picking the Pats, Bengals, Colts, Raves, Broncos and Texans from the AFC along with the Seahawks, Falcons, 49ers, Saints, Giants (YEAH!) and Pacers from the NFC. King calls the NFC championship game the Seahawks and 49ers after Seattle beats the Falcons and the Saints lose to the 49ers and the he picks the Seahawks to go all the way. After picking out of the AFC, he says the Patriots will defeat the Ravens and the Broncos will beat the Bengals before playing in the AFC championship with the Patriots winning out and then winning the Super Bowl over Seattle, which would be a great game.

King also hands out awards, giving Robert Griffin III comeback player of the year, Tom Brady MVP, Chris Johnson offensive player, Geno Atkins defensive player and Eddie Lacy offensive rookie, while Tyrann Mathieu is his defensive rookie.
