Syracuse University running back Delone Carter runs into the end zone to score against Kansas State University in the fourth quarter of their NCAA football Pinstripe Bowl game at Yankee Stadium in New York, December 30."

The college football season is in full swing on Saturday with plenty of big teams in action like Texas A&M, Ohio State and Florida in action and one game that is under the radar but could be very solid is the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Syracuse Orange going at it on Saturday at MetLife Stadium live on ABC and online on ESPN.

Syracuse is coming into the season after losing a number of pieces from last year, including head coach Doug Marrone to the Buffalo Bills and both Ryan Nassib and Justin Pugh to the New York Giants and Penn State is coming off a solid year under Bill O'Brien after the big scandal and they look ready to get back into playing actual football with players Ben Kline and Adam Gress playing despite injuries and Christian Hackenberg is expected to have a tough day when he gets into the swing of things. The teams have met many times in the past, but have only played two times over the past 30 years and now they will meet in MetLife Stadium.

The last time these two teams played was back in 2009 and Penn State is coming in off an 8-4 season under very crazy circumstances and now the team is looking to continue its improvement going forward. The Lions won't be able to play in the postseason for a few more years and while that might be hard to keep players motivated, O'Brien has shown that he is the right coach for the team at the right time and now they will try to do it against Syracuse on Saturday and the game will be on ABC or ESPN2 at 3:30 PM.

Syracuse comes into the season after having an 8-5 record last season and 5-2 in the conference and they also went 1-2 in matchups against top 25 teams. The team lost Nassib from last season and will play number 22 Northwestern next before playing Wagner and Tulane and then they will play a huge game against Clemson before a game against NC State. The rest of the schedule is tough with teams like Wake Forest, Maryland, Florida State, Pitt and Boston College.
