The NFL preseason has one of its best games on Saturday night, as the Denver Broncos will play the Seattle Seahawks in the second preseason game for both teams. The game will be on television and can be streamed live through NFL.com and the main website and play-by-play coverage and stats online can be found on ESPN.com and the radio coverage can be found through NFL.com and the team website.

From earlier on Friday, the NFL preseason continues on Friday night and there are a number of games going down that have some intrigue, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Patriots playing in New England as well as the Oakland Raiders playing the New Orleans Saints.

The San Francisco 49ers and the Chiefs are playing in Kansas City and will give the chance for Alex Smith to play his old team and the Minnesota Vikings will also be playing the Bills in Buffalo and the team will be looking for its first win of the preseason. The Patriots game will have intrigue with Tom Brady, especially after he hurt his knee in a joint practice this past week.

Every year in the NFL, at least team suffers a high amount of serious injuries to significant players and this season one candidate for that are the San Diego Chargers after the team lost Danario Alexander to a season-ending injury and Malcom Floyd to a less-serious knee issue.

The team is coming into 2013 with high expectations after hiring head coach Mike McCoy to take over for longtime head coach Norv Turner and while he is a more offensive-minded coach, the injuries could derail the team this season, as the roster is fairly thin at the position after the injuries. Alexander was expected to be a big contributor and a breakout candidate after making 37 catches for 658 yards and seven touchdowns last season and now the team will have to scramble for some replacements.

Floyd has been a solid receiver for the team over the years while playing behind Vincent Jackson, but he has dealt with injuries in the past and now this knee issue could linger for the rest of the season. The team has Eddie Royal, Vincent Brown and Robert Meachem on the roster as well as rookie Keenan Allen and now the team may go after someone like Brandon Lloyd on the free agent market. Chargers general manager Tom Telesco said that the team is comfortable with its players on the depth chart, but if the Floyd injury ends up keeping him out past the first game of the season against the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football, the team could opt to bring in a veteran.

Quarterback Philip Rivers is looking to improve after a mediocre season and the losses of Alexander and Floyd could hurt his chances. The team is hoping for a more consistent running game after ranking low in the league last year in rushing yards per game and if Ryan Mathews can't stay on the field, it will mean a more expanded role for Danny Woodhead. Tight end Ladarius Green may get some extra time and plays in the offense alongside Antonio Gates with the injuries after being a fourth round pick last season and he could end up being a huge sleeper in fantasy.

The team loves what Green brings to the offense based on his size and since Antonio Gates is getting older, it might be time for McCoy to see if he can step up and make up for the losses on offense. The team said that Floyd's injury is not a tear like Alexander's, but the fact that it's sprained means it could linger throughout the season and that is the last team McCoy needs.

The team overall is dealing with a number of injuries, including to linebacker Manti Te'o, who could miss the next preseason game against Chicago with a foot injury. According to ESPN.com he has a strained foot and was wearing a walking boot in practice. The Chargers said that the injury was not serious and the rookie should be able to play for the opening game of the season.
