Real Madrid Transfer Rumors: Spanish Club Claims To Have £105m Deal For Gareth Bale, Tottenham Says Move Hasn't Been Finalized

New reports indicate that Real Madrid have agreed to pay £105million for rights to Tottenham Hotspurs' Gareth Bale.

However, Tottenham insist that there is still work to be done in negotiations, as the club has yet to agree on which Madrid players will come in exchange for Bale as part of the deal.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wants any cash offer to exceed the world record £80m paid by Manchester United to Real for Cristiano Ronaldo four years ago, before a player is included.

Real have withdrawn left-back Fabio Coentrao - one of the players they are offering - from their friendly with LA Galaxy claiming "muscle issues".

Spurs' boss Abdre Villas-Boas is a big fan of Alvaro Morata, who was the tournament's leading scorer two months ago as Spain lifted the European Under-21 title, but negotiations have seemed to fizzle.

Morata is considered a player who can replace Gonzalo Higuain in the Madrid lineup; after the Argentinian was sold to Napoli earlier in this transfer window.

Real believe that Morata could be Spain's future No9 and their appreciation of him has been reflected in their efforts to secure him to a long-term deal with an enormous buy-out clause. Morata's contract expires in 2015.

In the meantime, Tottenham look to continue on with their other business as they look poised to break their transfer record for the second time this summer with the €30m (£26m) signing of Roberto Soldado from Valencia. They paid £17m for the midfielder Paulinho from Corinthians, which eclipsed their previous record outlay - the £16.5m spent to take Luka Modric from Dynamo Zagreb in 2008.

They're also pushing to sign the 23-year-old Romania and Steaua Bucharest central defender Vlad Chiriches, although it has been reported that the club's owner, Gigi Becali, who is in jail, is unhappy for the deal to proceed.
