Juventus confirmed the signing of Carlos Tevez from Manchester City on a three-year deal.

City and Juventus had agreed on a £10 million ($15 million) fee, which can increase by £2 million ($3 million) based on appearances and success, and Tevez flew to Turin to complete his medical and agree on personal terms.

All of that has now been sorted out with the Italian side confirming the Argentine international's capture, and thus ending a turbulent four-year spell at the Etihad.

Tevez has been handed the famous No. 10 shirt with Juventus announcing the 29-year-old's arrival with a picture on Twitter of Tevez holding the Juve jersey alongside president Andrea Agnelli.

The forward, on his arrival in Italy, said he had rejected advances from AC Milan to join the Italian champions and will now form a potentially potent partnership with Fernando Llorente, who signed up with Juventus on a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao.

Tevez joined Manchester City in 2009 under a bit of a cloud, after a spell with Manchester United.

The Argentine made 148 appearances for City during his four-year term, scoring 74 goals, but will be remembered more for his tempestuous relationship with Roberto Mancini.

Tevez's departure leaves City with plenty of work to do in the striking department, with new manager Manuel Pellegrini only having two strikers - Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero -- in his squad.

Napoli hitman Edinson Cavani, who scored for Uruguay in their 2-1 loss to Brazil in the Confederations Cup semifinals, has been heavily linked with a move, but Real Madrid and Chelsea are thought to be the frontrunners for the 26-year-old's signature.

City have refused to pay Cavani's release clause price of £53 million ($81 million) and it now remains to be seen who Pellegrini zeroes in on to fill the void left by Tevez and indeed Mario Balotelli, who joined Milan in the January transfer window.
