The Chicago Blackhawks are champions for the second time in a span of four seasnos after making an amzing comeback to defeat the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup finals and the team will come home and celebrate on Friday with a parade after winning on the road.

Last time around the team also won on the road and now captain Jonathan Toews and company will celebrate with a parade on Friday said Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office. The route will be announced soon as well as a time and location for the parade, while last time around two million came out to celebrate. The parade that time was at the United Center and went down to end on Michigan and Wacker in Chicago.

The Mayor's office congratulated the team and the Boston Bruins as well as coach Joel Quenneville and the players. The championship parade is an American tradition and the team had a rally last time after the parade when they won in 2010. The Blackhawks scored two goals in a span of seconds to win the game after being down 2-1 and now they are the champions after winning the President's Trophy as the best team in the regular season. The team started off on a record streak and never slowed down and Patrick Kane was named playoffs MVP after winning the Conn Smythe Trophy.

"The City of Chicago is thrilled to congratulate our own Chicago Blackhawks on their hard-fought victory, once again bringing the Stanley Cup back to their sweet home Chicago," Mayor Emanuel said in the statement.
