The Philadelphia Eagles made a bold move when they traded up for USC star Matt Barkley in the fourth round of the NFL draft and now that he joins the ranks with Michael Vick and Nick Foles the quarterback is ready to prove himself.

According to Pro Football Talk, Barkley spoke on the radio in Philadelphia and said that he is confident he will get the chance to run the offense for Chip Kelly at some point and said that he would work hard every day in practice. He spoke about the new offensive system from Kelly, which is still in the early stages, and said that rookie camp could go a long way for his chance to play with the Eagles. Barkley always had confidence in California and he has taken that with him to Philadelphia.

Barkley took the number 2 jersey after finding out if former kicker David Akers was cool with it and after he was he took the number, moving from number seven he had at USC. Michael Vick has number seven and he didn't want to grab number 5, his old HS number, since Donovan McNabb had that. Barkley could end up the starter down the line and he likely will be ahead of Nick Foles on the depth chart.

The team could possibly bring in Tim Tebow, although Chip Kelly has not come out and said he is interested, but his new offense could use him in new ways, including as a tight end or back in the offensive sets he uses with Vick or Barkley.
