Rumors have Josh Hamilton with the Los Angeles Angel

Josh Hamilton is now a Los Angeles Angels following rumors within the last hour that the five-time All-Star was being lured to play further west.

Are  you surprised by this move?

Jon Heyman of CBSsports.com believes it is a classic Arte Moreno move, who is the owner of the Angels after purchasing them from Walt Disney back in 2003.

Still can't believe your eyes?

Well Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com also confirmed the rumor.

Sources within the organization believe that they will end up luring in the slugger after months of deliberation. Many wondered if Hamilton would remain a Ranger as they seemed like the only team that could have acquired this bonafide star.

The biggest issue concerned the length of the contract. Of course, Hamilton wanted a full length contract maxing out at seven years. However, because of his past filled with substance abuse, many teams considered him too big of a risk to sign and pay minimum $20 million a year.

The Angels made themselves popular for being a mystery team after they surprised many in 2011 signing Albert Pujols to a 10-year contract, ripping him away from his St. Louis Cardinals.

Moreno had money to spare after the Angels could not acquire Zack Greinke. Now as they move closer to getting Hamilton, they replace Torii Hunter's bat, glove and more.

Hamilton filled up the stat sheets in 2012 making his fifth straight All-Star game and wrapping up with a .285 batting average, 43 homers and 128 RBI.

Just to confirm the deal went down.

Albert Pujols and Mike Trout are very happy right now.
