Los Angeles Lakers Rumors 2012: Steve Nash Making Return During Team's Upcoming Road Trip?

The Los Angeles Lakers woes continue to plague the team now with a 9-12 record after falling 117-110 to the Utah Jazz Sunday.

The superstar loaded roster has failed to live up to expectations, but remain optimistic that the return of point guard Steve Nash will finally turn things around. Coach Mike D'Antoni has been anxiously been awaiting the return of his former and current floor general, who may possibly make his return during the team's upcoming four-game road trip.

The return of the two-time NBA MVP has been all anyone has talked about over the past month as he nurses a leg fracture injury that he suffered in the second game of the season against the Portland Trail Blazers.

It remains to be seen whether or not Nash is the missing piece to the championship puzzle in Los Angeles, but D'Antoni and the Lakers' front office is counting on it and Pau Gasol's future with the Lakers may also be hanging in the balance.

Though Gasol appears to be on a short leash with the Lakers moving forward, their front office has let it be known that Gasol will be on the trading block if things don't change in the near future, but with Nash back in the fold and Gasol may benefit more than most.
