The Miami Marlins have an upset superstar slugger in Giancarlo Stanton, but the team is rumored to wanting Mark Reynolds to play in the Sunshine State.

Reynolds will provide the usual strikeout numbers, which have been dipping year after year, but he brings along serious pop. 

He only had 23 homers this season, the least of his career since his rookie season in 2007 when he hit 17. 

So far in his six year career, Reynolds has averaged 30 homers a season. 

Without a doubt, he could serve as some form protection for the slugging Stanton who was abandoned and left alone in an organization that has absolutely nobody left. 

But what about Logan Morrison? 

Please, Morrison is just a twitter phenom who enjoys sharing his thoughts. 

On the field, however, he has been completely unsuccessful, hitting .230 with 11 homers and 36 RBI. 

He is only 25-years-old, so he and the Marlins have hope and room for improvement. 

Reynolds would provide the Marlins with a third baseman despite spending most of the 2012 season at first base. 

Last week, Reynolds was non-tendered by the Orrioles. Young guys like Manny Machado and Chris Davis had breakout seasons in 2012 and the Orioles decided to stay with them at the corner. 

Reynolds is from Virginia, so playing in Florida would not move him too far from home.
