The USC Trojans and Wisconsin Badgers are playing on the college football bowl schedule for the National Funding Holiday Bowl on Wednesday night and the matchup is from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. The game will start at 10:30 pm ET and will be on ESPN and streaming online from the WatchESPN website.
USC comes into the game 8-5 on the season and Wisconsin comes in with a 9-3 record and this could be one of the best matchups of the pre-playoff bowl games. The Trojans have been through some controversy this year with Steve Sarkisian and the team has gone 5-3 since Clay Helton took over as head coach. Cody Kessler comes in having a strong season with 3315 yards and 28 touchdowns with just six interceptions, while JuJu Smith-Schuster has been his leading receiver.
Smith-Schuster comes in with 85 catches for 1389 yards and 10 scores this season and he will be a player to watch in this matchup Joel Stave comes in with 10 TDs and 11 picks for the Badgers and he will have to have a strong game for Wisconsin to win. Ronald Jones has had a strong season with USC along with Justin Davis and those two players help give the team a balanced offensive attack.
That offensive attack will be playing against one of the toughest defenses in the nation, as the Badgers rank first in the nation in scoring. The team is allowing less than 14 points per game this season and that will give Kessler and the Trojans a major challenge. USC comes into the game after losing to Stanford in the Pac-12 title game and before that the team had won against UCLA and lost against Oregon.
