NFL Week 16 Fantasy Football Preview (Championship Edition): San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders, Amari Cooper, Latavius Murray, Antonio Gates, Danny Woodhead

San Diego Chargers

Antonio Gates (Tight End): Gates has a great matchup this week against the Oakland Raiders as they allow the 3rd most fantasy points to tight ends. So far the Raiders have allowed 10 touchdowns to tight ends which is the second worst in the NFL. Gates has not had a touchdown in the last 3 weeks however he could not have a better matchup heading into the fantasy championships.

Danny Woodhead (Running Back):  Woodhead should see and increased volume of snaps as Melvin Gordon is sidelined with an injury for the remainder of the season. Woodhead will face a defense that allows the 15th fewest fantasy points to running backs however with Woodhead as a passing down back he should see a ton of targets in this matchup. Woodhead had a touchdown last week so he could be a solid flex in week 16.

Oakland Raiders

Amari Cooper (Wide Receiver): Cooper had his first multiple touchdown game along with 100 plus receiving yards last week. He will need all of his talent as he faces a defense that has given up the 3rd fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. Cooper should be a strong WR 2 this week.

Latavius Murray (Running Back): Murray should get a ton of touches this week as he faces a defense that gives up the 6th most fantasy points to running backs. Murray has had a tough couple of weeks recently however this should be a matchup he can exploit with ease.
