NFL Fantasy Football Recap Week 8: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons, Doug Martin, Mike Evans, Julio Jones, Devonta Freeman, Matt Ryan

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Doug Martin (Running Back): Doug Martin had another solid game and is getting the necessary touches to continue to be the number 1 back in Tampa Bay. Martin finished the game with 23 attempts for 71 yards and caught his only target which gained 7 yards. Martin should have an easy time in week 9 against the Giants.

Mike Evans (Wide Receiver): Evans had Vincent Jackson, Louis Murphy, and Austin Seferian-Jenkins off the field and he still struggled to produce. Evans hauled in 3 out of 9 targets for 48 yards in Sunday's week 9 overtime victory. Evans has only put up WR1 numbers sporadically.

Atlanta Falcons

Julio Jones (Wide Receiver): Jones was absolutely on fire as he torched the Buccaneers for 162 yards and a touchdown. He caught 12 out of 13 targets which is one of the more impressive showings he has had so far this season. Jones will remain one of the top WR1's in the NFL.

Devonta Freeman (Running Back): Freeman had a surprisingly quiet day as he only gained 88 yards on 20 carries. He caught 6 out of 8 targets for 43 yards which gave him a nice bump in points but he failed to get into the end zone. Freeman and this Falcons offense have not really looked as reliable as they have at the beginning of the season so it will be interesting to see how they progress.

Matt Ryan (Quarterback): Ryan struggled mightily for most of this game however he pulled it together in the 4th quarter. Ryan completed 37 out of 45 passing attempts for 397 yards, 2 touchdowns, and an interception. Ryan has looked not nearly as consistent as he had earlier in the season, struggling from accuracy and timing issues. Ryan's production should be monitored.

Jacob Tamme (Tight End): Tamme had a monster game racking up 103 receiving yards. He hauled in 10 of his 12 targets for 103 yards and a touchdown. Ryan may look to Tamme more as he has seemingly been his security blanket as of late.
