NFL Fantasy Football Recap Week 8: Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears, Adrian Peterson, Mike Wallace, Alshon Jeffery, Matt Forte

Minnesota Vikings

Adrian Peterson (Running Back): Peterson failed to get into the end zone again as he managed to carry the ball 20 times in this close game. He gained 103 yards and caught both of his targets for 6 yards. Peterson will be a weekly RB1 but the Vikings don't need to get him into the end zone to win.

Stefon Diggs/Mike Wallace (Wide Receiver): Diggs has continued his coming out party as he continually rewards fantasy owners for believing in the young wide receiver. Diggs saw the end zone again and caught 6 out of his 12 targets for 95 yards. Wallace on the other hand has been buried as Diggs eats his targets. Wallace was held without a catch even after being targeted 4 times.

Chicago Bears

Alshon Jeffery (Wide Receiver): Jeffery finally had the fantasy game owners were expecting from the Bears number one wide receiver. Jeffery caught 10 out of 15 targets for 116 yards and a touchdown. Jeffery looked fully healthy in this game.

Matt Forte (Running Back): Forte owners are swallowing a bitter sweet pill following this game as Forte has been the most consistent fantasy running back for some time. He finished the game with 10 carries for 41 yards and 4 catches for 28 yards. His day ended when he suffered an MCL injury that reportedly does not need surgery to fix. It is likely it is an MCL sprain which should sideline him for a couple of weeks.
