Dallas Cowboys Rumors: Darren McFadden, Jason Witten Fantasy Starters if Joseph Randle, Dez Bryant Out Week 8 for Matt Cassel, Terrance Williams Help

The Dallas Cowboys are once again getting hit with injuries. The team simply cannot afford to lose anyone else at this point in the season. With Tony Romo out until Week 11 and Dez Bryant not back yet, the Cowboys are hurting for depth. Now, the team might be missing Joseph Randle for some time which puts a strain on the run game and adds pressure onto Matt Cassel's shoulders.

According to Todd Archer of ESPN.com, Randle is listed as day-to-day with an oblique strain. Head coach Jason Garrett told the media that the running back was getting treatment and the team would simply see how he responded before making a call on his status against the Seattle Seahawks. Randle exited after the opening series for the team and never returned. The chances he is active and effective against the Seahawks appear slim at the moment.

If Randle were out for Week 8, Darren McFadden is a fantasy pickup for maybe the first time in his career. The running back came out of nowhere against the Giants for 152 yards which was one of the best performances of his career. The running back did a good job of trusting the offensive line and impressing his teammates and owner Jerry Jones.

"What is good news is you see McFadden come in there and take advantage of the number of touches that he had," Jones said, via ESPN.com. "And McFadden is a better player today than he was coming out of training camp because he's had more reps, he's had time really get out there and get a lot of practices in and he's got a confidence in this system and plus we're utilizing his speed real well."

With Randle out, all eyes turn to Bryant who may or may not be ready to play. There were conflicting reports regarding Bryant's health last week. Garrett told the media the receiver was running at full speed in practice while making all of hits cuts, but he was rule out against the Giants. Now, Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports is reporting Bryant is 50-50 to play against Seattle. The Cowboys are hopeful the receiver can be a full participant at practice this week which would determine his status for Sunday. Garafolo writes that Bryant is expected to play against the Eagles no matter what.

The Cowboys are hopeful that they have the depth to continue to get by on injuries. They have made no moves for trade deals or other free agents for help. Instead, Jason Witten, Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley are expected to step up for Matt Cassel.
