Buffalo Bills Rumors: Sammy Watkins Doubts Tyrod Taylor? Rex Ryan Pushes Percy Harvin, Robert Woods Offense as LeSean McCoy, Karlos Williams Rotate Week 3

The Buffalo Bills took a big step back in Week 2 when they lost to the New England Patriots. Tyrod Taylor turned the ball over three times while taking eight sacks while LeSean McCoy got his name in the boxscore for a fumble as well. The quarterback problems have drawn some concerns with teammates as Taylor must shake off the performance and focus on Week 3. According to Sammy Watkins, he simply needs to trust the offensive line.

Taylor was under pressure pretty much the entire game against New England which led to all of the sacks and poor throws. Watkins believes that the issue with Taylor was that he was simply trying to do too much and not trusting the players around him. The receiver stressed it was merely one game with plenty of time left in the season, but he is hopeful the quarterback issues sort themselves out quickly.

"For the most part, I think we're doing pretty well," Watkins said, via ESPN.com. "We just got to eliminate the turnovers. We got to move the ball down the field, for the most part. I think Tyrod got to gain trust in the lineman. We got to gain trust from Tyrod. And I think once we get everybody to trust each other, it'll be much easier. It's Week 2. We got a lot more weeks to play football. It's early right now, so you can't really point fingers or blame it on nobody because it's a new, collective group with so many guys and you got so many weapons and everybody got to get on the same page."

It is unclear how tight of a leash Taylor is on. With Matt Cassel now traded to the Dallas Cowboys, EJ Manuel is the No.2 option for the Bills which may or may not inspire confidence in the team. Head coach Rex Ryan stressed that he wants Taylor to stay in the pocket more than he normally does. The quarterback uses his feet more than not as a running quarterback, but with Watkins, Percy Harvin and Robert Woods running along the sidelines, Ryan wants him to throw with guys open.

"We had some guys open," Ryan said, via ESPN.com. "Sometimes I think we have to step up into the pocket a little bit and we had some guys open. So we can be better in a lot of those areas. If I look at anything with Tyrod, I'd like to see him step back, set up and then step up in the pocket a little more."

Having Taylor be more of a pocket passer may or may not work, but it would open up the run game more with McCoy and Karlos Williams. McCoy has been putting in the work early for the Bills, but it is Williams getting the touchdowns. The running backs are forming a solid tandem and Taylor must lean on them more.
