NFL Trade Deadline Rumors: Tim Tebow Will Be Shipped? Seahawks a Possible Landing Spot?

The NFL deadline is fast approaching, the rumor mills have the New York Jets possibly interested in a deal. Whether true or false, the player rumored to be moving is Tim Tebow, their offseason acquisition from the Denver Broncos.

NFL.com's Charley Casserly proposed a possible deal to the Seattle Seahawks. They have Russell Wilson at the helm and he's got the Seahawks in the bottom of the league in offensive production. They are 31st in passing yards, 30th in total yards and 31st in points scored per game.

If the Seahawks had a legit quarterback, they could be a deadly team since they possess one of the best defenses in the league. Until then, they will not be true contenders out west.

For the Jets, Tebow has been a bust.

Well, let's be fair.

The Jets have not used Tebow to his full potential, giving him running plays that get obvious by the second time they are used. He has been great for short yardage situations, but Tebow is more than that.

Let's not forget, he led a Broncos team into the playoffs and got them a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers late in the game. It wasn't the defense or the running game that beat the Steelers, it was Tebow's arm.

Tebow backed up with a good defense unit might be a winning formula.

Casserly believes that "Now is the time to eliminate the distraction." He goes on to say that Pete Carroll is a flexible coach who is willing to try new things.

In the end, it is unlikely that the Jets will let go of Tebow after giving up draft picks (4th, 6th and 7th round).
