Miami Dolphins Rumors: Jordan Cameron Fantasy Bust as Ryan Tannehill Favors Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills? Lamar Miller, Damien Williams Hurts Jay Ajayi Future

Pressure is high on the Miami Dolphins after the team did some big spending in the offseason. Ryan Tannehill might be carrying the brunt of that after earning a long-term contract extension prior to reporting to training camp. The question is whether or not the Dolphins did enough to surround Tannehill with the right talent to improve after failing to make the playoffs yet again last year. So far, the early returns on Tannehill and company are positive.

The Dolphins continue to capitalize in the preseason as the offense is thriving early. Tannehill capped off the second preseason game with two touchdowns rising his total to three scores in four drives with Miami this preseason. The wide receiver trio of Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills and Greg Jennings is proving to be critical for Tannehill and will only get better. According to the Palm Beach Post, DeVante Parker is set to return to the team by Week 1 of the regular season following foot surgery after rookie mini camp. The return of Parker will make Tannehill one of the better quarterbacks especially in his own conference.

"Every time we step on that field, our goal is to score," Tannehill said, via the Palm Beach Post. "As long as we can keep working toward that, we'll be in good shape. Obviously, I'm a lot more comfortable with this offense now - seeing the routes and the combinations down field and knowing you're open, knowing when I can pull the trigger."

There are still question marks with the offense despite the  success of the passing game. Jordan Cameron remains a bit of mystery as he has had an inconsistent camp so far with the Dolphins. Cameron told the media that he believes he will be a Pro Bowl tight end this season, but whether or not he can actually achieve that is the biggest question. Tannehill told the Miami Sun Sentinel that he wants to get Cameron more involved in the offense despite the array of wide receiver options.

The running back position also has a question mark on it. Lamar Miller is the starter for the first time and is expected to handle the responsibility with ease, but there is doubt in who will be his backup. Rookie Jay Ajayi was hyped heading into training camp as a player that could take over Miller for the starting spot. However, a hamstring injury has kept him off the field and out of the mix. As a result, Damien Williams and LaMichael James are quickly chasing his spot as the No.2 back. Williams continues to thrive while James is carving out a role for himself. Ajayi could be left out if he is not on the field soon.
