NFL Training Camp News: Which Dallas Cowboys Receivers Will Make The Roster With Dez Bryant, Cole Beasley, Terrance Williams?

Deontay Greenberry: (6'2, 200lbs, Age:21)

Greenberry was a 5 star recruit however was not invited to the NFL combine. Greenberry is not a return man which should hinder his chances at making this team. He has struggled with dropping passes this offseason.

Reggie Dunn: (5'9, 178lbs, age:26)

He makes the most out of the reps he's had at punt returner, so there is an opening there for him. He has been on the practice squad since 2014 so obviously the Cowboys see something in him. Dunn has this to say about being on the Cowboys,

"I love it here. I really do to be honest. I like the guys here," he said. "I've seen a lot of different locker rooms, been around a lot of different guys and I love it here. In other NFL organizations, players on the practice squad don't feel like they are part of the team, but that's not how it is in Dallas. "Here with the Cowboys, you're 100 percent part of the team," Dunn said. "That's the impression I get because I'm in meetings every day. I go out and practice. I'm on the sidelines during the games cheering my teammates on, so I feel like I'm very much a part of the team. That made me work harder throughout the week, feeling that I was a part of something."

Lucky Whitehead: (5'9, 163lbs, Age 23)

Whitehead is probably the best return man out of all of these guys, which is important considering the Cowboys fifth wide receiver typically handles that job. He plays his best in the slot and is very explosive with the ball in his hands. He makes nice cuts and is picking up the offense incredibly fast. He might beat out everyone else as the fifth wide receiver.

Nick Harwell: (6'1, 193lbs, age:24)

Harwell was one of the team captains with the Kansas Jayhawks. He can also return punts effectively and has excellent awareness. He can play out of the slot and has great separation. His routes are solid and makes decisive cuts with the ball in his hands.

George Farmer: (6'1, 22lbs, Age:22)

Farmer has been relatively quiet for the first half of camp. The Cowboys have given him the most guaranteed money of any undrafted free agent this year so they are obviously expecting big things. Farmer ran a 4.35 40 yard dash at his pro day and is considered one of the more likely players on this list to make the team. If he does not show any talent at returning kicks however I could see Farmer placed on the practice squad. Farmer will also be on the series Undrafted that takes an in depth look at some of the most talented players who never hear their name called.

Antwan Goodley: (5'10, 220lbs, age:23)

Goodley has a tremendously high vertical but has inconsistent hands. He is not as good as Whitehead or Harwell in the slot but is better on the outside. He ran a 4.44 however he was deemed undraftable. He has a top heavy body type like a running back and can be used like Percy Harvin except without the same level of talent.

As we get to the second half of training camp, Whitehead seems to have taken a significant lead over Farmer and Harwell. Goodley, Greenberry, and Dunn have not made much ground in taking the 5th wide receiver job and may not even make the practice squad unless there is a significant uptick in their production.
