Seattle Seahawks Rumors: Reggie Wayne Signed for Jermaine Kearse, Paul Richardson Help? Robert Turbin Injury Makes Pierre Thomas, Chris Johnson Options for Marshawn Lynch

The Seattle Seahawks are looking to make a third-straight trip to the Super Bowl in 2015. The team did a quality job of retaining most of their stars in free agency while adding more offensive firepower with a trade for Jimmy Graham to help Russell Wilson. While they look like real contenders to be back in the playoffs, could the team add one more option to the roster for some veteran help?

According to ESPN's Mike Wells, Reggie Wayne is gaining interest from several teams in the league and the Seattle Seahawks could be one of them. Wayne told the media that he only intends to play for one more season in the league and hopes to sign with a contender in order to have another shot at a Super Bowl. The Seahawks certainly meet those demands and have a need for Wayne heading into 2015.

While Seattle will have Graham inserted in as the No.1 target for Wilson, Wayne could easily come in as an upgrade to the rotation with Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse and Paul Richardson. If healthy, Wayne is still a down-field threat that could be a huge asset to Wilson throughout the season. Wayne would likely be very inexpensive while acting as a quality mentor to some of the younger receivers on the roster. There is no risk bringing Wayne on as he would only help elevate the offense.

There is also the idea that the Seahawks might have to add some running back help before training camp. Of course the Seahawks have Marshawn Lynch as their No.1 guy, but there are some questions about his backup. According to Terry Blount of ESPN.com, Robert Turbin is questionable for the start of the season after undergoing hip surgery in the offseason. The Seahawks were hesitant on a timetable for Turbin, but it appears like he could be sidelined longer than originally assumed. While Seattle does have Christine Michael on the roster, would a free agent be a better upgrade?

The running back market features strictly veterans now along with a healthy Knowshon Moreno. The Seahawks could easily pick up someone like Chris Johnson, Pierre Thomas or Steven Jackson who remain healthy and available. The Seahawks do not need a star back nor do they need an every-down player, but any of the veteran options could put up quality production on the field while Turbin remains out.
