Olympics 2012 Women's Boxing Results Flyweight: Great Britain's Nicola Adams and Cancan Ren Advance to Finals

The Women's Flyweight division has its two finalists. The No. 1 ranked Cancan Ren of China will face Nicola Adams of Great Britain in the finals.  N

Adams defeated India's Chungneijan Mery Kom Hmangte 11-6 in their four-round fight.

Adams overpowering in this bout. When both boxers embraced at the center of the ring, Adam sneaked in a few uppercuts. It got so bad that Hgmangte's helmet was dislocated and the referee asked for a break.

After the first round, Adam's trainer begged for the boxer to get her front foot a little closer to her opponent. She was missing hooks that would have devestated her opponent.

With this said, Adams stepped on to the ring in the second round and landed two great hooks at the start.

In the third round Adams attacked Hgmangte with a combination of hooks and a straight right hand. Towards the end of the match, in the fourth round, she waited for Hgmangte's attack to return punches.

Adams's finals opponent, had just finished winning her bout against USA's Marlen Esperanza.

Cancan Ren stepped on the ring first in the Women's 51 kg semifinals. Based on body language, viewers would have thought Esperanza was winning this bout as she egged on Ren when punches did not land. Ren was the more controlledboxer in this bout, however.

Esperanza landed a flurry of body shots towards the end of the match, but it was not enough to advance to the Finals.

Ren took the bout 10-8.
