Olympics 2012 Soccer Results: Switzerland vs. Gabon Finish in 1-1 Draw, Uruguay Beat UA Emirates 2-1

Switzerland and Gabon were looked in a good match that ended with both clubs tying 1-1.

Despite the score, the offense got started early in this match. Henri Ndong fouled Innoncent Emeghara from Switzerland and Admir Mehmedi converted a penalty shot for the first score of the game.

Tough defense dominated the rest of the game until 5 minutes before the first half was over.

Gabon's Pierre Aubameyang tied the game at 1 for the last score of the game. 

In the other match, Uruguay did not waste anytime getting a victory as they came from behind to defeat UA Emirates 2-1 in Thursday's matchup. 

UA Emirates team got their offense going early. They got on the board first scoring at the 23 minute mark. Matar Ismaeil got his team on the board with a goal. 

Things then got a little rough as UA Emirates attacked on defense. Ahmad Mohamed received a yellow card minutes after they had scored. 

Luis Suarez was then fouled by Abdulrahman Amer and Gaston Ramirez scored on a free-kick.

Uruguay then broke the tie after Nicolas Lodeiro scored in minute 56. 

Uruguay's next opponent will be Senegal on Sunday, while UA Emirates will compete against Great Britain.

In Group B, Switzerland will play Korea and Gabon will face Mexico. These matches are also on Sunday.
