Washington Wizards Rumors: Bradley Beal Injury Leads To Trade For John Wall Support? Iman Shumpert With NY Knicks Option

The Washington Wizards are coming into the season with high expectations after making the playoffs and now that Bradley Beal has a wrist injury that could keep him out for two months, the team may look at trades to help John Wall with support, as Beal could be out longer than that and one option could be the NY Knicks with Iman Shumpert if they don't ask for too much.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, the Wizards could be without Beal for at least two months and David Aldridge from NBA.com tweeted that it could be longer than that. More tests will be done on Beal's wrist and that will determine how long he will be out and his injury is a big blow to the Wizards. Beal is one of the top young players in the league and if he makes a speedy return, he could miss around 12 games if he is out for six weeks.

Beal injured his wrist and suffered a fracture against the Charlotte Hornets in the preseason and there is a chance he could miss up to two months. The Wizards have high expectations for Beal and he comes in after averaging over 17 points per game and shooting 40 percent from long range and he was expected to develop even more this season. Beal was drafted two years ago with the number three pick in the draft and he has missed time in the past with a leg injury.

The Wizards likely will use Glen Rice quite a bit with Martell Webster also injured and the Wizards are hoping beal can return. Marc Stein at ESPN.com writes that the Wizatds could look at a trade with the Knicks for Iman Shumpert or someone else if Beal's injury ends up being more significant or lengthy. The Wizards signed Paul Pierce this offseason and now him and John Wall will need to pick up the offense until Beal returns.
