Fantasy Football Free Agent Pickups: Odell Beckham, Benny Cunningham, Austin Davis, Storm Johnson, Shonn Greene Week 6 Options

The fantasy football Week 6 schedule starts Thursday and some smart free agents and pickup options moving into matchups include Odell Beckham, Benny Cunningham, Austin Davis, Storm Johnson, Shonn Greene, Larry Donnell, Mohamed Sanu, Branden Oliver, Ronnie Hillman, Andre Williams and Timothy Wright, as those players may step up due to injuries and other issues this weekend.

The Giants have a few players to keep an eye on, as Odell Beckham, Andre Williams and Larry Donnell all have been solid performers and could continue on that track. Beckham made his debut on Sunday and had a TD, while Williams will be starting with Rashad Jennings out with an injury. Benny Cunningham is coming up with the Rams after an injury to Zac Stacy, while his quarterback Austin Davis has played well and now is the starter for the season.

Shonn Greene ended up with the most carries for the Titans in the game on Sunday and moving forward he could be a more consistent option over Bishop Sankey. Mohamed Sanu has played well despite having AJ Green on the other side of him, while Tim Wright is a solid pickup for the Patriots. The team has Rob Gronkowski playing well, but after this week Wright has shown that he can be the second tight end option and could take over the same role Aaron Hernandez once had.

The Giants offense has been rolling and that is one of the main reasons why owners should look at Beckham and Williams. Donnell did not have a great game after his 3 TD performance against the Redskins, but he will continue getting targets and if the Giants offense stays like this, expect him to perform. Beckham came in after missing the first four games of the season and he had an immediate impact, catching four balls and scoring a TD. Beckham totally beat a guy on a deep route and would have had an easy TD, but he was overthrown, but the play showed how much his speed will be a weapon for the Giants.

Johnson is an interesting option since the Jaguars are terrible and likely will keep rushing the ball and while his stat line wasn't great, teams in need of a backup or a third back should look at him. Gus Bradley said that Johnson will be getting more carries going forward and that could be a sleeper for fantasy owners. Branden Oliver had the best game of his career and with Donald Brown and Ryan Mathews banged up, he has the chance to keep that going. Oliver is a smart waiver option after going over 100 yards last week and he has another good matchup with the Raiders this week.

Benny Cunningham and Austin Davis are two options from the Rams, as Davis now has the starting job for the rest of the season. Davis played very well and had 375 passing yards last week with three touchdowns and while he will not do that every week, clearly the potential is there. For Davis and Cunningham, if owners are in tight spots or need emergency starts, they are solid options for the next few weeks.
