2014 NLDS Playoffs Radio Live Stream: Listen Online Washington Nationals vs. San Francisco Giants MLB Game 1 Streaming 3:07 PM ET

The San Francisco Giants and Washington enter the postseason with momentum high. Both teams missed the postseason last year and ended their regular seasons on solid win streaks that will make their NLDS series very interesting. The Giants have a lot of postseason success on their resume including a win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the Wild Card game. The Nationals have never won a playoff series, but after dominating the NL East, hope is high that will change.

The Nationals will start Stephen Strasburg in Game 1. The pitcher was held out of the 2012 postseason while healing a surgically repaired elbow on this throwing arm. This will be his first postseason game of this MLB career. He will be throwing to catcher Wilson Ramos who was also injured in 2012 and will also be making his postseason debut. The pitcher finished the regular season with a 14-11 record and a 3.14 ERA. He faced the Giants twice this season while managing a 5.40 ERA. He gave up two home runs to the team while the Giants hit .300 against the pitcher.

Washington managed one of the best seasons in league. They finished going 21-9 in their last 30 games which was the best in the league while having a 96-66 record overall. After Strasburg, Jordan Zimmermann will take on Game 2 while Doug Fister gets the Game 3 start.

The Giants' Game 1 pitching-catcher duo reads much different than Strasburg and Ramos. Jake Peavy will start for San Francisco. This will be the pitcher's sixth start in October including being part of the World Series winning Boston Red Sox last season. Buster Posey will be catching for him who has a 2012 NL MVP title and was a member of the 2010 and 2012 World Series winning team. Peavy finished the year going 7-13 with a 3.73 ERA while starting the year still with the Red Sox. The Giants made this trade with the postseason in mind and now they will see if it pays off.
