Detroit Tigers vs. Chicago White Sox Live Stream: Watch Online MLB American League Baseball Games Streaming 7:08 PM ET

The Detroit Tigers have their eyes on the postseason and homefield advantage as they work to maintain sole possession of the American League Central with the lead down to one game over the Kansas City Royals. The Tigers have lost two games in a row which is not helping their case. Detroit is hopeful putting David Price on the mound gets the bounce back as things get heated with the end of the season near.

Price has been up and down in his past five starts. He tends to follow up a rough outing with a strong performance which is what the Detroit Tigers need against the visiting White Sox. Price is 14-12 with a 3.37 ERA on the eyar and could start twice this week if the Tigers lose another game. The pitcher has been alternating wins and losses during a 2-3 stretch. He is coming off a start where he gave up five runs and eight hits while walking three in just over five innings of play. He is now 3-4 with a 4.09 ERA since getting traded from the Tampa Bay Rays.

Price is clearly frustrated with his inconsistencies. However, he has been consistent with following a defeat with a strong performance. He has success against the White Sox in his career. The pitcher put up a 1.74 ERA while winning four straight against the team. However, in his last outing he put up eight runs, six earned, over nine hits in six innings.

He will be dealing with a red hot Tyler Flowers who knocked out a two-run home run to secure a win on Monday. He has six home runs in his last 14 games, while batting .306 with 10 RBIs. He is hitting .333 against the Tigers, Meanwhile Detroit is putting up just two runs and 12 hits in their last two games.

Scott Carroll takes the mound for Chicago. He gave up seven runs and 10 hits over five innings in a loss to Detroit back at the end August. The rookie is struggling right now, going 1-4 with a 6.68 ERA in his last six starts. In his last outing, he gave up four runs in five innings. Detroit does not have much success off him. Miguel Cabrera is 0 for 3 against Carroll.
