No one ever claimed the Atlanta Braves were a consistent team. However, after an offensive surge in their last game against the Philadelphia Phillies the team has some momentum and are benefitting from a Milwaukee Brewers meltdown, keeping them in the mix for the National League wild card spot. Now the Braves must try and find that offense once again as they face off against the Miami Marlins on the road.

The Braves narrowly avoided a third straight shutout loss when they got the 7-4 win over the Phillies on Wednesday. Now the team hits the road in search of their fourth straight road victory facing off against the Marlins. Prior to getting the win Wednesday, the Braves put up one run and went 1 for 23 with runners in scoring position as they lost three of their last four games. One of those was a combined no-hitter between three pitchers. Currently battling for the wild card spot, that was not ideal for Atlanta who is battling the Giants for position.

The Braves are hoping to keep their offense moving as Justin Upton leads the charge. The outfielder has a team-high 26 home runs and 91 RBIs. He has struggled against the Miami Marlins though going 5 for 30 with just one home run in his last nine games. Aaron Harang takes the mound after not getting the decision the last time he faced Miami. He is 1-3 with an 8.44 ERA in his last seven starts. Back in April, he allowed nine runs off 10 hits in just over four innings of play against the team.

The Marlins will counter with Jarred Cosart who is looking for his fourth straight win. The pitcher is playing well for Miami, giving up just seven hits in over seven innings of play in his last start against the Braves. He is 3-0 with an 0.65 ERA in his last four starts while being 2-0 with an 0.64 ERA in his last two against the Braves.
