CWS 2014 Schedule College World Series: Start Time For Virginia and Vanderbilt Finals Series

The College World Series 2014 Championship schedule for the Virginia Cavaliers and the Vanderbilt Commodores for Game 1 the finals series at the CWS in Omaha starts up at 8 pm ET on the ESPN channel and is also streaming with a live stream from WatchESPN as the NCAA baseball tournament champion is crowned in a three game series.

The two teams come in after winning over Texas and Mississippi in the previous round to get here and now they are the final schools left in the CWS. The tournament started off with 64 teams and now after all the upsets, stellar pitching and timely hitting, it will be best two of three to see who wins the championship. The first game of the series is on Monday night and that will start up at 8 pm ET with Vandy and Virginia and the next matchup will be on Tuesday, June 24 at 8 pm ET and those games will be on ESPN. Game 3 is the next day if the matchup is necessary.

Texas made a nice run in the tournament until they hit Vanderbilt and despite the Longhorns winning the first game, Vandy was able to come back and get through. Virginia had an amazing game against TCU early in the College World Series and that tied a record going into 15 innings and that led the team through to wait for Miss or TCU and Ole Miss ended up getting through after some great play from Will Allen.

The tournament opened up with a number of top ranked teams looking to win the College World Series, but now only two are left and there were a number of upsets through the bracket. UC Irvine was one of the last teams into the tournament, but they were able to beat a number of top teams, including Oklahoma State in the super-regionals and Oklahoma State in the double elimination regionals and those were in Corvallis. The Anteaters made a nice run to the CWS before getting eliminated and now they will try and come back next season.

Texas erased some memories of the past couple years with their strong play and they came in against Houston, while Louisville also advanced and Vandy came in after playing a three game series with Stanford. Virginia beat Maryland and they are looking very strong coming in, as they were in the winners bracket and now have the chance to play for the championship.
