World Cup Standings Brazil 2014: Group Points Table Chart and Leaders For Tournament

The World Cup standings for Brazil 2014 has the host nation among the group points leaders on the table chart for the soccer tournament and heading into the second week, teams like Italy, the Netherlands, Mexico, Costa Rica, Germany, Colombia and Switzerland are all in good position to advance, as they are in first place in the standings heading into the second games of group play before the knockout rounds.

Brazil opened up the tournament with a win in group A and that put the team in the top position with three points and they have the advantage right now after scoring three goals in their win against Croatia. Mexico has a chance to make some noise in Group A, as they play against Brazil next and that matchup is on Tuesday and could be massive in who gets out of that group. The United States group of death has Germany up early after their dominating win against Portugal and now the team has to try and take care of business against Ghana.

Mexico and Brazil are atop group A with three points each, while the Netherlands and Chile have opened up with wins and they are on top of Group B. The other two teams in that group are Spain and Australia, while Colombia and Ivory Coast are leading Japan and Greece in Group C. Group D has Costa Rice and Italy on top and they lead England and Uruguay and the next game for those two teams is very crucial now.

Group E has France and Switzerland leading the standings and they are over Ecuador and Honduras, while Argentina is leading their group and they should get out of that easily. Group G is the toughest and they play on Monday, while Tuesday has the first matchups for Group H and that includes Russia and Algeria, while in Group G the UPS and Ghana face off before the United States plays Portugal and they will be without Pepe in Manaus since he got a red card in the game on Monday.
