France comes into the match playing very well and they once again have high expectations coming into the tournament after the way they performed last time. This is the first friendly close to the tournament for the team and they also will play against Paraguay and Jamaica in international matches before Brazil officially begins. The team has lost just once in the past 11 matches and that helped the team qualify for the World Cup and they last loss against Ukraine in qualifying and that came before the French team spun that back in the next match after losing 2-0 to take things 3-0 to get into Brazil and after that they played in March of this year against the Netherlands for their last action.

The next match comes on June 1 for the team and that will be against Paraguay at Allianz Riviera, while the last match before the tournament begins will be against Jamaica at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. France comes into the tournament as part of Group E and that has the team in with Switzerland, Ecuador and Honduras and while that is not a group of death, it still will not be easy getting out of it. The team plays against Honduras first and that will be on Sunday June 15 at the Estadio Beira-Rio and then the team plays the Swiss at Arena Fonte Nova before finishing the group stage with Ecuador.

Karim Benzema and Olivier Giroud along with Franck Ribéry were the goal leaders in the friendly matchups heading into the game, while Ribéry was tops in assists. The French side is very talented and they are looking to make a nice run in the World Cup and coming into the match, Mamadou Sakho will be the captain for the friendly against Norway. This is a big match for the French side and they are looking to start things off well and the 24 year old comes in after being the captain of former club Paris Saint-Germain and he will have the arm band for the massive friendly heading into Brazil in his 17th appearance for the national team.

France got in after the big win against Ukraine and now they are looking to get back to the finals after being there a decade ago and the team is looking to make up for the performance last year. The World Cup officially starts in June on the 12th with Brazil playing the opening game.
