The Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche are playing Game 7 of their NHL playoffs series on Wednesday night and the matchup starts at 9:30 pm ET from the Pepsi Center and has the western conference teams looking to advance out of the first round with the series tied 3-3 and the matchup will be streaming online from the NBC Sports Live Extra website and from CNBC on TV.
Patrick Roy has played in Game 7 matchups before and he has his team ready and they will be at home for the game and the winner of this series will match up against the Chicago Blackhawks, while the winner of the LA Kings and Sharks series will face off against the Anaheim Ducks after they got past the Stars. Zach Parise has been the leader for the leader in points and assists for the Wild, while Nathan MacKinnon has been key for the Avalanche and he has 10 points and eight assists and both those players will need to step up on Wednesday night.
Parise and Paul Stastny are the leaders in scoring and Semyon Varlamov has been clutch for the team and now they are looking to get back on track after losing three of the last four games. The team won in overtime in Game 5 before losing in Game 6 and now they are looking to advance to the second round in the west. This is the third game 7 of the night with the Rangers and the Flyers along with the Sharks and Kings and in that series LA came back from a 3-0 deficit to tie things up.
The Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins will start off things in the second round on Thursday and that comes after the Canadiens swept the Lightning and the Bruins won over the Detroit Red Wings. The Bruins lost the first game before winning the next four and the Canadiens are playing for the first time in 10 days after the sweep.
