Chad Ochocinco stayed in the AFC East when he joined the Dolphins. He may have also stayed in the catacombs of the depth chart. NFL Network is reporting that Ochocinco took his reps with the third string at Miami's minicamp yesterday.
The former Patriot looked to be on his way out of the league after he was cut following OTAs. Johnson was relegated to a reserve role during New England's AFC Championship season in 2011. Once a Pro Bowl WR in Cincinnati, Ocho notched only 15 receptions last season.
It has been speculated that Ochocinco was tabbed by the Dolphins solely to add an extra storyline to the Hard Knocks series which will follow the team throughout the preseason. The series airs on HBO.
In his most productive season, 2005, Ochocinco hauled in 97 passes for 1,432 yards and nine TDs. During that season, the Bengals won the AFC North and hosted a playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Carson Palmer would tear his ACL early in the contest and the Bengals would fall.
