Manchester United started off well but ended up falling behind after Charlie Adam put a goal in for Stoke and the team responded quickly once the second half started with a score from Robin Van Persie and that was his second in as many games since making his return and that put the score at 1-1. Five minutes later Adam added his second goal of the match on a nice play and that gave Stoke the lead and that is how the match ended and now they will be looking to rebound next week.

Newcastle United started the day with a loss at home against Sunderland and they fell behind after a penalty from Fabio Borini, while Adam Johnson added another goal in the first half and then in the 80th minute Jack Colback scored to give the team a 3-0 lead and that is how the game ended at St. James' Park. West Ham United ended up winning at Upton Park against Swansea City and that came after they fell behind early after five minutes when Robert Snodgrass scored a goal, but the team came back in the second half and got goals from Craig Bellamy and Kenwyne Jones.

Everton rebounded with a win against Aston Villa after falling behind with a goal from Leandro Bacuna and the team came back late in the second half with goals from Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas and that sealed the 2-1 victory after the score in the 85th minute of the match. Southampton was dominant on the road and sent Fulham to another loss with goals from Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez and those all came in the second half and continued the strong play from Rodriguez this season. Tottenham and Hull City finished with a 1-1 draw and the Spurs got a goal in the second half from Paulinho to tie the match after Shane Long scored in the first.
