Manchester City Rumors: Sergio Aguero Hamstring Injury In Barclays EPL Win Against Tottenham Awaits Results

Manchester City is celebrating after winning on Wednesday over Tottenham to take the lead on the English Premier League table with a 5-1 victory at White Hart Lane, but not all was positive after the game, as Sergio Aguero had to leave the field before halftime and that could be a blow to the club after extending their season-best winning streak against the Spurs.

Man City got goals from five different players on Wednesday as they pulled into first place over Arsenal in the Premier League standings, with Aguero putting in the first score after 15 minutes and after that the team continued to pour it on and went up 3-0 before the Spurs got a goal. Yaya Toure put in a penalty kick before Edin Dzeko added another and the team then got goals from Stevan Jovetic and Vincent Kompany to finish off the day and now they are atop the EPL.

According to ESPN.com, Aguero could miss some time after getting hit and leaving with an injury and he received some treatment before coming off and he was replaced in the lineup with Stevan Jovetic. Manchester City is playing well and this comes after Aguero missed time earlier in the season and sat out eight games and he came back in the FA Cup against Blackburn and he will be important for the club down the stretch as they try to win the Premier League.

"I felt some pain in my right hamstring and left just as a precaution," Aguero said on Twitter.

"My studies will tell me the degree of the injury.

"It's a pity about the injury but it's easier knowing that we are on top. I hope I get back out on the field soon to keep helping the team."
