Super Bowl Tickets: Prices Vary For MetLife Stadium Game For SB XLVIII Seahawks and Broncos

The Super Bowl ticket prices and packages are getting very varied and expensive for the big game at MetLife Stadium and one reason is due to the weather for SB XLVIII and while it is not guaranteed to snow, it is guaranteed to be cold for the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks matchup in East Rutherford and that has put tix in high demand in some areas.

The game has the two best teams in the NFL going at it on February 2 and while the league has some contingencies of moving the game if the weather is too rough, right now they feel that things will go on as scheduled. The league wanted to reward the Giants and the Jets for building their billion dollar stadium and gave them the first cold-weather outdoor Super Bowl in modern history and now it will go on in nine days and the weather likely will be the biggest story.

There are plenty of story lines with Peyton Manning, Richard Sherman, Pete Carroll, John Fox as well as Russell Wilson and others, but the entire game will be seen through the context of the weather, especially if it ends up rough on Super Bowl Sunday. The league had the gall to stage the game in a cold weather city outdoors in the winter and since the NFL is just a behemoth, they probably will get a solid day and while the temperature may end up setting the record for the coldest Super Bowl (beating 39 degrees), that doesn't mean it will be snowing or raining for the matchup.

According to ESPN.com, the average price for the $100 face value tickets are getting up into the thousands at $3,721 and that could get even higher with hotel packages and other deals. The Super Bowl has a number of activities in the area in NY and NJ and the tickets for the game are getting expensive.
