Denver Broncos Rumors: Wes Welker Hit Ripped By Bill Belichick As NE Patriots Claim Peyton Manning WR Made ‘Worst Play' In AFC Championship

The Denver Broncos are into the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks and now they will be matching up at MetLife Stadium after winning against the New England Patriots, NE Pats but head coach Bill Belichick ripped wide receiver Wes Welker after his knockdown on Sunday on cornerback Aqib Talib that hurt his knee and put him out of the game.

Welker left the Patriots last year after the team elected not to re-sign him and he joined the Denver Broncos on a short-term deal and after the game, Belichick made comments about the WR -- who he reportedly had some friction with -- saying that the collision with Talib on his crossing route was "one of the worst plays" he's ever seen. The play happened in the first half and came when Welker was doing a crossing route with Demaryius Thomas and after taking the high top he collided with Talib and knocked him over and there was no flag on the play.

"It was a deliberate play by the receiver to take out Aqib. No attempt to get open," Belichick said. "I'll let the league handle the discipline on that play, whatever they decide. It's one of the worst plays I've seen. That's all I'll say about that."
